Summer 2010's Industry Luncheon featured Texas Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams, Medal of Honor recipient "Doc" Ballard, and surprise presentations of new homes to two American Heroes.
Donations received from NAPE attendees have helped to fund the building of these mortgage-free homes.

About Michael Williams
Michael L. Williams is the former Chairman and present ranking member of the Railroad Commission of Texas. He has a distinguished career of public service. He served as assistant district attorney in his hometown of Midland, Texas. He served in the Justice Department for Ronald Reagan (1980s). He served in several capacities in the George H. W. Bush administration (1990s). He was appointed to the Railroad Commission by Governor George W. Bush (1998) and has since been elected to the office twice in statewide elections and his current term expires in 2014. In the 1990s he worked in the private sector as general counsel to a Texas high-tech corporation and was of counsel with Haynes and Boone, LLP. Mr. Williams has been an active volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Texas and has narrated books for the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind. He is a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Arlington and has been married to his best friend Donna for 23 years.
About the Soldiers
Since 2007 NAPE and its participants have donated more than $1 million to severely wounded soldiers. In 2009 the NAPE American Heroes Fund was formed to identify deserving organizations and oversee the distribution of the contributions.
