DEALS HAPPEN HERE

In 1993, a group of trailblazing landmen formed a think tank for AAPL called the Issues Management Council. In looking for innovative ways to serve the industry, they developed an idea called the North American Prospect Expo — now simply known as NAPE.

The skeptics said it wouldn’t work, but that didn’t keep the visionary landmen from rolling up their sleeves and forging ahead. Today, NAPE plays a crucial role in furthering the cause of its attendees, and the annual NAPE Summit is the year’s “must attend” event for the upstream oil and gas business.

It’s been a wild ride. And as we celebrate the ups, downs and successes over the years, we do so with the feeling that our best and most exciting years are still ahead.

When you’re looking for oil and gas, it’s only logical to go to the most promising site. In 1992, the thought occurred to landman leaders that the same should be true when looking for deals.

Out of that simple idea, NAPE was born. NAPE exists to find better and more efficient ways of bringing together the key players in the upstream oil and gas business. Today, we provide a venue like no other for finding, facilitating and closing deals.

In addition to serving as a vital hub for decision makers in leasing, exploration and finance, we’ve worked to further the interests of our industry. And along the way, we’ve also raised millions of dollars to charities and causes that are close to our hearts.

Deals happen here. And it’s all thanks to you.
