HOUSTON--NAPE Expo LP announced today the speaker lineup for the Summer NAPE Business Conference, taking place August 16 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. Part of the largest upstream oil and gas prospect event of its kind, the Summer NAPE Business Conference will explore strategies for navigating industry changes and opportunities, in-depth insights into U.S. upstream activity, the impact of climate regulation on America’s oil and gas industry and more.
“As the global oil and gas market begins to recover, opportunities abound to form creative new partnerships and business deals,” said Greg Riedl, Chairman of the NAPE Operators Committee. “The Summer NAPE Business Conference brings together industry thought leaders to provide an insider’s guide of tools and strategies to grow upstream operations as well as overcome challenges and public perception issues facing the industry.”
Alan Townsend, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rosehill Resources and keynote of the Summer NAPE Business Conference luncheon, will share insights on Rosehill Resources’ formation into a pure play Delaware Basin public company. Townsend has more than 45 years of engineering, operations and management experience in the oil and gas industry.
Steve Goreham, Executive Director of the Climate Science Coalition of America, will address public misperceptions in energy and climate regulation. A speaker, author, researcher and independent columnist on environmental issues, Goreham will lead a common-sense discussion about energy, sustainability, public policy and their implications for the oil and gas industry.
Robert G. Clarke and R.T. Dukes, Research Directors at Wood Mackenzie, will share the latest developments in U.S. Lower 48 upstream activity, investments, price outlooks and play/operator benchmarking. Clarke works closely with E&Ps, investors and service companies in the North Texas market and has widespread experience analyzing exploratory global unconventional assets. Dukes contributes to Wood Mackenzie’s detailed analysis of major upstream developments in North America and serves as an advisor for its Macro Oils (Oil Price Outlook) service.
Bruce L. Niemeyer, Vice President of Chevron North America Exploration & Production Company, will explain how collaboration can be the key to unlocking new opportunities in the Permian Basin. Niemeyer oversees Chevron’s Mid-Continent Business Unit, which manages a large resource base of oil and liquids-rich assets in the mid-continent U.S. Prior to this role, Niemeyer served as vice president of the Appalachian/Michigan Strategic Business Unit, where he led the company’s development of natural gas from shale in the northeast U.S.
The Summer NAPE Expo will take place Aug. 16-17 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. In addition to the Business Conference, Summer NAPE will feature a full day of domestic prospect presentations in the Prospect Theater, meeting space to make and fund deals and a tradeshow filled with hundreds of exhibitors and more than 3,000 attendees.
