NAPE Charities American Hero Award
A group of America’s energy producers donated $1 million to create the NAPE Expo Charities American Hero Award honoring the late Anthony J. DeToto Sr. In addition to his own military service, DeToto was revered for his tireless support of U.S. veterans. In 2023, DeToto was honored posthumously as the first recipient of the NAPE Expo Charities American Hero Award. This annual award now bears his name: the NAPE Charities Anthony J. DeToto American Hero Award.
In honor of DeToto's legacy, a portion of the funds donated for this award will be given annually over the next decade to veteran groups supported by the NAPE Expo Charities Fund. The 2024 award recipient is U.S. representative for Texas’s 38th congressional district, Wesley Hunt.
Hunt will be honored at the NAPE Charities Celebration held at NAPE Summit on February 7, 2024.
NAPE CHARITIES CELEBRATION
Feb. 7 | 5-7 p.m. | Separate Ticket Required
This year we are changing things up a bit and adding a special reception for our supporters. The check presentations to our charities will be presented at the beginning of our Governors Panel on Wednesday, Feb. 7. This panel will feature two of our nation’s state governors discussing issues facing the energy industry. Following the Governors Panel, we will honor our selected charities at a reception featuring popular artists Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen — two of country music’s stars, providing live entertainment for our attendees. Make plans to add this reception to your registration and join us for this star-studded evening!
